Building historian Jo Sellæg: "The mystery of Marienlyst and the battle for pleasure garden hegemony"

The buildings at Marienlyst tell the story of a patchwork that became a solid country house. And for comparison, the other nominees in the competition for the most elegant pleasure garden of the time(s) in Drammen are presented.

Jo Sellæg is a name that most people have a relationship with. We are proud that the former advisor in building protection, current author and communicator, is coming here to Drammen's Museum to talk about pleasure gardens and their role in society.

The Book of Sellæg «Just for fun» will be available for purchase at a special price after the lecture.

Tickets can be bought from 17:00 in the Museum building. Doors to the lecture open at 17:30. No seat reservations.

  • Regular price: NOK 120.
  • Price honorarium: NOK 60

The museum is open until the lecture starts, and the ticket is valid as an entrance ticket to the exhibitions.

We note that there is a large turnout for this lecture, and that the principle applies on a first-come, first-served basis. We have 100 seats.
