The Drammen of the future?

What do you miss in Drammen? This question has been asked by professional illustrators from Østfold Internasjonale Teater to the people of Drammen - and drawn their answers. Now you can see the result on display at Drammen's museum!

Through 2021 and 2022, the art project has In search of Democracy 3.0 produced more than 160 visualized thoughts about Drammen. The drawings in black and white are based on the illustrators' conversations with individuals of all ages, at Bragernes Torg, Strømsø Torg and Drammen high school.

The diverse ideas for the city of the future range widely: from wishes for a more accessible city centre, to city beaches and chocolate fountains. Digital versions of the drawings in the exhibition have already been handed over to Drammen municipality as an informal input to ongoing urban development processes. They are also made available to the public, i.a. through a free coloring book.
Now you can experience the originals up close. Maybe you will find your own idea again?

NB! The exhibition takes place outdoors, so dress for the weather!
