Conservator at the Norwegian Folk Museum, Geir Thomas Risåsen: "Historical Easter traditions"

Easter is the church's biggest and oldest holiday. For believers, this is the holiday of sorrow and joy. It is celebrated by both Jews and Christians, but where Easter's content is different. The Christian content has left deep traces in Norwegian traditions, which have been maintained until recent times. For many, however, this is the last holiday of the winter and marks the transition between winter and spring. This is the time for Easter eggs, Easter chickens, roast lamb and Easter cream, which are some of the topics Geir Thomas Risåsen will talk about in his lecture "Good Easter!".

Tickets can be bought from 17:00 in the Museum building. Doors to the lecture open at 17:30. No seat reservations.
