Children and youngsters
Drammens Museum focuses on children and young people and wants to create good encounters with art and culture that create reflection and joy.
The museum warmly welcomes children and young people! Here, the workshop is open every weekend, with equipment and creative tasks that you can do together with parents, other adults and friends.
Children always have free entry to the museum. Some of the exhibitions are presented on kunstporten, which is a digital programme. There you will also find workshop tasks, with different types of activities the children can do: Children 5 - 9 years (kunstporten.no)
Six times a year we have the Children's Art Club. Then the museum's skilled mediators take the children around the exhibitions and end up in the workshop where we do a creative task together. Everyone gets to take their artwork home with them afterwards. The Children's Art Club costs NOK 25 per child (adults free), and you do not need to sign up. Follow the website.
During the holidays, we organize a rebus at the museum. Ask for the task at reception, and go hunting in different parts of the museum. There are of course prizes for everyone!
On the garden day in June and the Christmas market in December, we always have lots of exciting outdoor activities for the children, free for the whole family.
