Drammen Art Association's exhibition 2021: Erik Asla - The movement's silence
Photographer Erik Asla from Drammen, living in Los Angeles, will be this autumn's exhibitor in the Lyche pavilion at Drammens Museum.
Asla started her career in Paris. After a long stay in the art capital, he was offered a job with the legendary photographer Herb Ritts in Los Angeles. Ritts is world famous for her images of Hollywood stars, politicians and cultural personalities.
The meetings with artists such as Robert Rauschenberg made such a deep impression on Asla that he eventually sought a career with an artistic and personal expression. His evocative images of the world's oceans and seas in constant motion often carry an abstract quality. They possess a picturesque texture, in addition to a delicate and refined color that also allows for the meditative.
Drammen Kunstforening welcomes him back to the city!
