Since 2017, we have had bilingual museum hosts in our local history exhibition in Sjøboden by the Drammenselva.

We extend an extra hand to Drammen residents who want to experience the exhibition in Polish or Turkish.

Sjøboden's two floors, which house the exhibition «Drammenselva - seen through a boathouse», show themes such as timber floating, timber surveying, organization of timber business, ship carpenter's tools, bilge tying, industry along the river with sawmills, paper mills and brickworks, settling boats, fishing huts, fishing arches in Drammen and communications across the river.

The exhibition consists of objects, photographs and descriptive texts for the different themes and the audience can walk around to learn more about the city's history.
