Vibeke M. Kiær has been elected as the new chairman of the board at Drammens Museum
Vibeke M. Kiær has been elected as the new chairman of Drammen's Museum. She succeeds Carl Emil Vogt.
The museum thanks Carl Emil Vogt for the great and important effort he has put in as chairman of the board at the museum. Vogt has been appointed by Buskerud County Council for the period 2015-2019 and by Viken County Council for the period 2020-2023. In his time as chairman of the board from 2020, Vogt has been able to lead the museum into a new era and set out a new strategic direction for the museum in close cooperation with the board and administration.
Vibeke M. Kiær heads the Drammens Museumsforening, an active association of friends that is one of the original founders of the Stiftelsen Drammens Museum. She has been appointed as a board member of the museum since 2019 and elected as deputy chairman from 2020.
Kiær wants to ensure that the museum continues to form strong ties with our local and regional public and create good relationships in the local environment, as a central meeting place where everyone can experience history, culture and art.
Kiær continues the museum's strategy of building up a clear identity rooted in the genuineness of the museum's own collections, buildings and museum facilities.
