PLACE: Drammens Museum, Lyche Pavilion
TIME: Tuesday 24 November at 13.00

Buskerud Visual Artists' November Exhibition is an annual event that is now shown for the 32nd time. It shows a wide selection of artists associated with Buskerud county, both professionals and amateurs. The exhibition has open submission, there is no requirement for education or affiliation with artist organizations. The works are judged by the board of BBK.

This year, 121 artists submitted a total of 281 works, of which 43 artists were accepted with a total of 48 works. In addition, the jury members show one work each. Of those suspected, 5 are debutants. (not been to the November show before). These are:
Eli Lund, Drammen
Gunnlaug Moen Hembrey, Krokstadelva
Gunnborg B Presterud, Drammen
Tor Rafael Raael, Sande
Kari Ursin, Kongsberg

This exhibition was arranged by BBK for the first time in 1976. This is in line with the action plan to improve knowledge of art among the population in the county. Since then, the November exhibition has been held every year. First in the Drammen art association, and in recent years in the Drammens Museum. It has become a popular exhibition that is well attended, and an exhibition that is used actively in relation to the dissemination of art in schools.

This year's exhibition has a great breadth in both material use and expression, and covers most disciplines within art with both painting / drawing, graphics, sculpture, photography and video / performance.

The opening of the exhibition will take place THURSDAY 26 NOVEMBER at 19.00.
There, a prize will also be awarded for the exhibition's most marked works. The prize is judged by the Norwegian Visual Artists' National Jury / Scholarship Committee and the prize of NOK 10,000 has this year been given from own funds.
