November Exhibition 2007

Press release BBK 2007

This year, the November exhibition marks its 30th anniversary.
On March 28, 1976, Buskerud Bildende Kunstnere was created. The meeting took place at Ringerike Folkehøgskole with the now deceased Asle Raaen as the prime mover to start an interim board. Already the following year, BBK arranged its first exhibition. This is in line with the action plan to improve knowledge of art among the population. Since then, the November position has been held every year. Several years in Drammens Kunstforening, and now in recent years in Drammens Museum.

The November exhibition is an annual exhibition arranged by Buskerud Bildende Kunstnere (BBK).
Anyone who lives in Buskerud, or who is connected to the county can submit work.
The exhibition is held in Drammen Museum's premises, Lyche Pavilion and is financially supported by Buskerud County Municipality. The submitted works are judged by BBK`s jury. The museum is responsible for assembling the exhibition.

The November exhibition is BBK`s annual event and is the 30th in a row. The exhibition intends to show a cross-section of what is about visual art in Buskerud county. The exhibition is judged by the board of BBK which consists of: Mona Skjønhaug, Eva Rydhagen, Barbara Vogler, Jarle Rosseland and Eva Haglund.

For this year's exhibition, 324 works by 186 artists have been submitted. 95 artists are in the exhibition.

There are 12 debutants. The exhibition shows a varied expression in different techniques where the main part consists of 2-dimensional works.
