Press release

Opening Thursday 25 November at 19.00 in the Lyche pavilion in Drammens Museum The exhibition lasts until 19.12.04
The November Exhibition and Norwegian Artisans Buskerud's Annual Exhibition are both annual exhibitions arranged by Buskerud Bildende Kunstnere and Norske Kunsthåndverkere dept. Buskerud, respectively.
Anyone who lives in Buskerud, or who is connected to the county can submit work.
This year, the two organizations are collaborating on a joint exhibition.
The exhibition is held in Drammens Museum's premises, Lyche Pavilion and is financially supported by Buskerud County Municipality. The submitted works in visual arts are judged by BBK's jury, and the submitted works in arts and crafts are judged by NK-Buskerud's jury. The two juries are also responsible for assembling the exhibition.

BUSKERUD PHOTO ARTISTS
November Exhibition 2004
The November exhibition is BBK's annual event and in 2004 is the 27th in a row. The exhibition aims to try to show a cross-section of what is about visual art in Buskerud county. The exhibition is judged by the board of BBK which consists of:
Barbara Vogler, Eva Rydhagen, Lena Akopian, Vemund Tollefsen and Kristin Skagen

299 works by 170 artists have been submitted to this year's November exhibition.
64 works are estimated and 61 artists have submitted these works.
Due to smaller exhibition space, the number of submitted works instead of a maximum of 3 per artist was reduced to a maximum of 2 works. The number of works exhibited by the visual artists is somewhat smaller as this year we share the space with the handicraft exhibition, but together it will be an equally large exhibition.
There are 16 debutants among the expected, which bodes well for the growth of the artistic arena in the county. The exhibition shows a varied expression in different techniques where the main part consists of painting, but here also, graphics, drawing, photography, sculpture and other techniques are represented.

NORWEGIAN ARTISTS CRAFTS DEPARTMENT OF BUSKERUD
Annual exhibition 2004
The exhibition tries to show handicrafts from Buskerud of high quality in the respective year. The exhibition is judged by NK dept. Buskerud's jury which consists of: Ingegjerd Mandt, Kristin Ophus, Solfrid Tormodsgard.

We had to limit the number of applications to 3 works per. artist this year due to less available space. Most municipalities were represented among the applicants, but with a majority from the municipalities in the lower part of the county. There was a particularly large application for glasswork this year, so it indicates great activity within this field in the county. The annual exhibition shows perpetual works in clay, metal, textiles and wood.

This year, 96 works by 44 artists have been submitted. Of these, 33 works are assumed, works by a total of 24 artists.

There are 3 debutants among the presumed artists.
