Textile Vessels

In designer Kristine Five Melvær's site-specific exhibition Textile Vessels, she intervenes in and plays with the historic spaces of the Marienlyst country estate, while creating new layers of meaning that both challenge and expand understanding of cultural heritage and craftsmanship.

In the encounter between the historical interiors and Melvær's textile installations and textile-covered containers, new stories, connections and reflections arise.

Through this project, Marienlyst's 18th-century architecture is revitalized as an arena for crafts and design, while strengthening the understanding of the role of crafts in both cultural heritage and the present.

Welcome to the exhibition opening on June 20th! More information about the opening event will follow.
