Lunchtime viewing Marienlyst exhibitions
Join us on an inspiring tour of the Marienlyst amusement park, where our presenters present this summer's two amusement park exhibitions: Shaped by time and Textile Vessels.
IN Shaped by time You will meet ceramists from different generations – from Andreas Schneider and Lalla Hvalstad to Marit Tingleff and Andrea Scholze. Through their works, the story of the development of the ceramics field in Norway over more than a hundred years is told, from small workshops and everyday objects to today's free, artistic expression.
IN Textile Vessels Kristine Five Melvær presents new works in which textile-covered jars and site-specific installations open up new ways of experiencing materiality, form and space. Five Melvær is an industrial and graphic designer, and works with the connections between the visual and the construction.
Together, the exhibitions actualize Marienlyst's 18th-century architecture as an arena for crafts and design, and provide a new look at the role of crafts in both cultural heritage and the present.
These days you can join a guided tour at 12-12.45:
