Art criticism fired!

Mari F. Sundet (art historian and curator at the Vestfossen Art Laboratory), Kristian Klausen (author and art critic in Drammens Tidende) and Øivind Storm Bjerke (professor, art historian, art critic and curator) are the taste panel this evening. They have selected 10 artistic works from art history that will be a blind test for the others on the panel following patterns from cake, dance and cookery programs on TV. They are therefore challenged to give an immediate and spontaneous Art Criticism on the spot! They have not had the opportunity to prepare for the encounter with the art that the others have picked out. How do they judge the same works of art? What is subjective or objective? What knowledge do you need? What determines whether we think something is good or bad art?
