Opening of BBK - November exhibition 2022

Welcome to the opening of the November exhibition 2022 on Wednesday 30 November at 18.00!

We are very happy about the collaboration with Buskerud Bildende Kunstnere and the fine tradition of opening the November exhibition in the Lychepaviljongen!

"The public will get to see 54 exciting works by 39 artists in Lychepaviljongen's premises. This year's exhibition offers more sculptures than in the past, but painting, photography, graphics and drawing are also well represented. Interest in weaving, embroidery and ceramics has seen an upswing in recent years, this is also visible in Buskerud art. It is a lush exhibition that we get to experience, but several artists are clearly influenced by the unrest of the time, the war in Ukraine. Many works have something heavy or fundamental about them and we get the feeling that something important is at stake." writes Buskerud Bildende Kunstnere in its press release.

The jury this year has consisted of Nina Guzman Toft, Kari Anne Helleberg Bahri and Mona Sundelius from Buskerud Bildende Kunstnere as well as this year's external jury members, Julio Fernandez Da Silva and Sebastian Rusten. All are active artists who work in various genres and mediums.

There will be speeches by Drammen's mayor Monica Myrvold Berg and acting director of Drammen's Museum, Eivor Winther Sunesen.

Prizes will be awarded to the artists behind "The most striking work of the year" and "Debutant of the year" have been selected by members of the National Jury and will be awarded at the opening.

The artistic element will be Martin Nordli.

The exhibition runs until 8 January.
