We invite you to a brand new DKS program for 5th grade in the fall of 2025. Here, students will visit Marienlyst farm, a pleasure farm from the 18th century. Did you know that the area on Strømsø is called Marienlyst because of this farm?

The students will get to know the first owners of the farm, and not least get to enter the main building, which has been closed to the public for 20 years. Through various senses, the students will get to experience what it was like to live here as a rich country estate owner. What objects did they have? What did they smell like? What did they drink and eat? And not least, what did they wear?

The students will also get to try out different craft traditions from that time. They will find out how to build a house, try out different planes and wood carving tools and techniques that were used to make the buildings at Marienlyst Farm.
