The boathouse by the river
The sjøboden by Gulskogen houses a unique local history exhibition about the Drammen river and its importance for the city's business life, traffic and cultural history. Multilingual hosts welcome visitors every weekend of the season.

The exhibition contains photographs, objects and texts about timber floating, timber measurement, organization of timber life, ship carpenter tools, bilge tying, industry along the river with sawmills, paper mills and brickworks, settler boats, the sea arches in Drammen, fishing traditions, and communication on and across the river.
